About me
Hi.
I’m Andrew. I am a Site Reliability Engineer who has spent his entire career so far working in what is generally called “Gov Tech”. I started out working on Permitting and Land Management software but I currentlly support a SaaS CMS platform.
I’ve done consulting, implementation, customer support, training, and currentlly find myself in the land of “DevOps” and “SRE”.
I love solving problems and fixing things.
I am also a bit of a Public Interest Technology nerd.
But… Why?
I know what you are thinking right now.
Andrew, why would you make a blog? Isn’t it enough to shout your unflitered thoughts into the void that is social media?
No, it is not enough. I have lots of “thoughts” and I wish to inflict them on posterity.
Also, the threading mechanisim on facebook comments is awful and I’m tired of trying to write reasoned arguments when responding to ignorant things people say.
So…. What are you going to blog about then?
Well, originally I was going to blog about traffic, road saftey, housing, and local government in Forsyth County Georgia where I currentlly reside. I’m probably still going to talk about that a lot.
But well, the 2024 election happened and well I have what you might call “opinions”.
